Shipping and Returns

Lancashire is our local service area for deliveries we deliver free to all Lancashire postcodes and offer a re-cycling service and removal of packaging.

FREE Standard Delivery (NATIONWIDE)

Standard delivery is free, nationwide to all UK Mainland post codes with the exception of the Scottish Highlands.

We do deliver to offshore British Islands, Isle of Man Jersey and the Chanel Islands and we are happy to quote you for this additional service by calling us on 01253875955.

Standard Delivery is free of charge and is a one man door to door service.

If you need assistance because you live up or down stairs , in a block of flats or simply becuase you cannot manage a large item by yourself we can offer additional services to help as stated below.

Express Delivery

Express Delivery orders are dispatched by next working day delivery with a cut off point of 1300 hrs. Orders placed on Friday after 1300 hrs are dispatched Monday for delivery Tuesday (except heavy/large or specialist delivery items). Please contact us for individual requirements and cost. Please remember that some large items need to be shipped by pallet delivery and in certain circumstances are not eligeable for next day delivery.

Hours of on-line Operation

Mike Sanderson Electricals operates Monday to Saturday. Any on line orders placed after 3pm. Friday or during the weekend will be processed the following Monday (excludes bank holidays). Shop hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm Saturday.

Please Note:

Our FREE Standard Delivery Service will usually be handled by one delivery person. Insurance & Health & Safety restrictions do not permit the driver to handle large bulky items up/down stairs or to flats without lifts. Please ensure that your delivery can be made to the ground floor or contact us prior to completing your order. To avoid damage disappointment we ship our heavier items by standard pallet delivery which normally takes two working days in transit. We can offer a two person delivery service at additional cost of £45 per delivery, if you have exceptional circumstances. As appliances are large bulky items courier companies are not insured to enter your house/premises and may require your help (or other recipient) in handling any order in excess of 25kgs. This is known as kerb side delivery where the courier will deliver to your door only.

Delivery services listed above are for UK mainland delivery only. If you live within one of the following postcode districts, the Scottish Highlands or outside of mainland UK please email or telephone for a delivery quotation: AB, BT, CA, IM, PA, ML, KA, KY, PH, IV, KW, FK, HS, ZE, TR, PO (Isle of Wight), IV (Scottish Isles) Delivery may take up to 14 Working Days in some cases.

A surcharge may apply for delivery to some of these postcodes depending on the product & insurance value in which case we will contact you prior to processing your order.

There are rare occasions where the demand on certain products outstrips supply and in these cases delivery may be more than 14 working days. If this problem arises, we will contact you within 48 hours to update you on the progress of your order.

As appliances are large bulky items courier companies are not insured to enter your house/premises and will therefore require your help (or other recipient) in handling any order in excess of 25kgs. This is known as kerb side delivery where the courier will deliver to your door only.

Please note that we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods. In the unlikely event that your product appears lost or is damaged in transit please contact us immediately via email, or telephone Customer Services 08719760370. Please retain the original packing in case you have any reason to return your purchase.

Oversold or low stock

There are rare occasions where the demand on certain products outstrips supply and in these cases delivery may be more than 14 working days. If this problem arises, we will contact you within 48 hours to update you on the progress of your order.

Prior to Dispatch

All our brand new items are checked prior to dispatch to ensure the original manufacturers packaging is in good condition and has not been tampered with. Once dispatched, your items are the delivery companies responsibility to ensure that they reach you undamaged. We always use extra insurance cover for expensive items where appropriate. It is the customers responsibility to check and ensure that items received are undamaged. Please note that once you have signed for and accepted delivery you can no longer claim for any damages incurred by the delivery company. If you have any queries regarding damaged items then please contact us immediately.

BFPO Orders

We welcome BFPO orders with an additional UK post code, BFPO without a UK post code will ship via Parcelforce (£15 total for items under 25kg).

 

Delivery Times

We aim to deliver goods within 5 working days by Free Standard Delivery or contact you if there is a variation due to your postal area or other reason.

IMPORTANT ONCE AGAIN:

Please advise us if you live above or below the ground floor and always take care to measure any gap or gateway to ensure that the product dimensions will fit through gaps and round corners, as large items can be very expensive for you to return.

Claims for missing or damaged goods cannot be accepted more than 48 hours after delivery.

RETURNS

Your legal rights: 

When you buy goods from a business, in law you have a number of rights as a consumer. These include the right to claim a refund, replacement, repair and/or compensation where the goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Our Returns Policy: WE are Members of RETRA and operate to a strict code of practice for consumer rights.

In addition to your legal rights, we also allow you to return goods if you simply change your mind. Please return the unused goods to us in original unopened packaging with the original receipt within 14 days and we will offer you an exchange full refund or a credit note.

Unwanted returns will be at your own expense within 14 days of purchase. Providing the goods are returned with all accessories including any free gifts you will receive a full refund. We are unable to accept back goods for refund after the 14 day period.

If the Items have been used or not in re-saleable condition we reserve our right to deduct an ammount relating to condition from 15% but no more than 50% from the refund value to compensate for our loss.
